RICHARD KIMBLE EADY, affectionately called “Toat” by all who knew and loved him, was born March 23, 1942, in Robertville, South Carolina to the late Edwin and Pearl Sheftall Eady.  He was called by God to his eternal home on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.

 At an early age, Richard gave his life to Christ and joined Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Pineland, South Carolina.  After graduating from Jasper High School, Class of 1961, he moved to Brooklyn where he spent the remainder of his life.  He married the love of his life, Verneda Wright, a marriage of 52 years.

 He was employed with Vanguard Business Furniture for over 30 years and he also worked at JFK Airport for a number of years until he retired.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He also enjoyed listening to Bob Marley music and watching sports on television.

 Richard was preceded in death by two brothers, James E. Eady and John R. Eady, and two sisters, Katie E. Jackson and Jeanette E. Rivers.

 Fond memories of Richard will always be cherished by his loving wife, Verneda W. Eady; daughter, Pamela V. Eady, and son, Erwin (Delia) Eady, all of Brooklyn, NY; two grandchildren, Trevor Dewayne Eady, Brooklyn, NY and Brittany Eady, St. Albans Queens, NY; one great grandson, Nasir Eady, Brooklyn, NY; two brothers, Harry (Hazel) Eady, Pineland, SC and Rev. Fred (Mamie) Eady, Robertville, SC; one sister, Shirley E. Goodman, Robertville, SC; brothers & sister-in-law, Richard Wright Jr. and Theodore (Zula) Wright, both of Springfield, MA, Beatrice (Hurley) Hester, Hollis Queens, NY and James Wright, Robertville, SC; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and loving friends.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020; 11:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery located in Pineland, South Carolina.
