Mr. Earl Leroy Scott, 80 years old of Pineland, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020. He was the eldest of nine children, his siblings lovingly knew him as “Big Earl” during his younger years.

Mr. Scott attended and graduated from Jasper County Schools at the age of seventeen. After graduation, he moved to Port Chester, New York and stayed

Mr. Scott met and married the love of his life the late Catherine B. Scott in Port Chester, New York for over fifty years. To this union three children were born.

He was a humble man of very few words; Mr. Scott was often called upon in the time of need and had always been available. He would always fill in the gap and believed in taking care of others.

Mr. Scott leaves to cherish his memories his; son; Earl “Tylor” Scott, two daughters; Nicola “Nikki” (Sylvester) Toomer,  and Donna M. Scott, Five grandsons and six granddaughters along with ten great grandchildren, three brothers; Ellis “Brother”Scott, George C. (Levon) Scott and Everett (Tiffany) Scott,  four sisters; Ruth Elaine (James) Goodman, Margaret (Henry) Suttles, Hazel (Harry) Eady and Ella Scott Wilson, two loving sisters in law; Shirley Scott and Ruby Jones. A host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends like James “Jimmie” Jones and Ykisa Jones.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Pineland, South Carolina

                     

Considering the COVID-19 Pandemic, it is recommended by the South Carolina Mortician Association, Inc., to encourage families to have a graveside service with a small gathering of family and friends
