Mrs. Mary Latheila Charity Elam-Young, 43 years old of Tarboro Community in Tillman, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020 at Saint Joseph Hospital in Savannah, Georgia

 Mary was called “Tella” from all who knew her; she loved to joke around and was always a fun loving person with the sweetest disposition.  She was always blessed with a beautiful voice singing praises to God our Savior, along with a talented writer.

Tella graduated from Jasper County High School in 1995, after graduation she attended the University of South Carolina Beaufort, where she studied Early Childhood Development.

 A Walk-Thru will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Bostick Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, South Carolina from 5-8 PM

 A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Carswell Memorial Cemetery in Tillman, SC at 10:00 AM

Mary’s loving memories will forever be cherished by; her Loving Husband; Robert Young,Jr.,Her devoted Sons; Nicholas, Xerum, Ein and Erron,  Her Mother; Mrs. Jannie Bell Elam, Her Siblings; Loxcenia (Harry) Jackson, Alexander Elam, Bernadette Brown, Anthony (Crescinda) Elam, Veronica (Jorvan) Smith and  Princilla (James) Moore,  Father & Mother in law; Robert ( Oressa) Young, Sr., Aunts & Uncles; Minister Richmond Tyson, Jr., Jessie (Nettie) Tyson, Sr., Wendell (Rachel) Tyson, Charles Tyson, Minister Hampton (Francis) Tyson, Milton Tyson, Rosemary (Thomas) Jackson and Irene Tyson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 

Considering the COVID-19 Pandemic, it is recommended by the South Carolina Mortician Association, Inc., to encourage families to have a graveside service with a small gathering of family and friends.
